Regional wildfire smoke is affecting our air quality

Spokane’s airshed is currently being impacted by wildfire smoke from regional wildfires and poor overnight ventilation, which is allowing pollution concentrations to build. We anticipate that winds will transport wildfire smoke into the airshed, worsening air quality to the AQI-Unhealthy category from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.  Remember that during wildfire season, air quality can change rapidly depending on fire and weather activity.
