Find Cleaner Air in Your Community
If you're unable to create a cleaner air space at home, you may be able to spend time with friends and family who have cleaner air at their homes. There are also public spaces, such as libraries and community centers, that can provide relief from heat and smoke during their operating hours: Spokane Community Resilience Hub Network.
When air quality is the Unhealthy you can visit 211 Washington. Search cooling centers and enter your zip code to find spaces that offer cooler and cleaner air and other resources.
If you need to be outside when air quality is unhealthy, wearing an N95 mask can help protect you from wildfire smoke. A properly fitted mask is essential to its effectiveness. Learn more here: Choosing the Right Mask
